In June, the Gattefossé Foundation organised two key events focusing on integrative health for employees of the Gattefossé Group.
The aim was simple: to remind people that health is not limited to the treatment of illness, but is built up day by day through our lifestyle habits, our behaviour and our environment.
At the first event, staff at the Saint-Priest site were able to take part in a tour comprising four themed stands:
- The microbiome and diet: nourishing your health
Dr Benoît Julien, a biologist and lecturer in nutrition, shared the latest insights into the gut microbiome and its vital role in maintaining our health.
- Understanding health: a holistic view
Christine Belhomme, director of the film Viens voir and project manager at the Allié Santé association, presented the principles of integrative health and the importance of a person-centred approach.
- Smell: aromatherapy for emotional well-being
Dr Nathalie Buonviso, research director at the CNRS, and Delphine Marchaud, director of the Gattefossé Foundation, offered an immersive exploration of the world of scents and their effects on emotions, thereby illustrating the potential of aromatherapy in managing them.
- Gentle movement: the yoga approach
Caroline Perdriel, a Gattefossé employee and yoga instructor, presented this discipline as a genuine philosophy of life that helps to maintain physical and mental balance.
The second event was an evening organised for night-shift workers, who face specific challenges linked to their work patterns. A dedicated presentation focused on the three pillars of health: eating, sleeping and exercise.
Both events are fully in line with the Foundation’s mission: to promote a more humane, preventative and sustainable approach to health.
