The hospital wants to develop supportive care to enhance patient confort and has been using aromatherapy in its palliative care department since 2013.
After this positive experience where patients are very satisfied and caregivers convinced of the benefits of aromatherapy, Dr. Mireille Beaugé proposed to further develop aromatherapy in the nursing care unit and all palliative care structures in the city of Le Havre. The establishment wants to train the new teams of caregivers concerned and their new pharmacist, Emilie Ducrocq. The grant from the Foundation will finance the 3-day internal group training of the CHI Caux Vallée de Seine nursing staff.
