Julie Gigout, gastroenterologist, initiated the “Integrative Medicine” committee at the Hôpital Européen de Marseille. Its mission is to promote the development of integrative medicine and to guarantee the quality and safety of complementary therapies offered to its patients in an integrated approach to the hospital’s care policy. She proposed to launch an olfactory aromatherapy as a complementary therapy. After an internal group training, Marine Husson, a nurse, asked to become the Aroma referent in the team and she followed the 2021-2022 curriculum of the clinical aromatherapy university diploma in Dijon. The grant helped fund her degree. The implementation of aromatherapy will begin at the hospital under her supervision.
