Dr Laurie Creton-Cossart and Anne Candellier, nurse, are trained in clinical aromatherapy and are working on the integration of non-drug therapies in palliative care. They offer a ‘well-being’ kit featuring different approaches such as music therapy, light therapy, reflexology and aromatherapy.
The Aroma team has developed three synergies to enhance nursing care. Each protocol is prescribed and evaluated, with systematic follow-up.
‘Toilette zen’ for patients with cognitive problems. The aim is to improve care, which is sometimes difficult to bear both physically and psychologically.
‘Nuit paisible’ for EHPAD residents suffering from sleep disorders or having difficulty falling asleep.
‘Escarre’ for patients with severe pressure sores, where curative treatment is not possible.
This grant will be used to finance the purchase of aromatherapy equipment, the creation of communication media to promote the project within the establishment and its affiliated EHPADs, and the setting up of aromatherapy consultations.
