Cécile Hélias Merpault, pharmacist, and Karine Morice, dietician, have developed a specific protocol for adolescents suffering from mental health issues.
They offer an olfactory workshop to help adolescent patients choose a specific blend of essential oils that they like. An individual inhaler is then made so that the adolescent can use it when they need to calm their mind, reduce stress, improve sleep, stimulate their appetite, etc.

A qualitative study of 17 adolescents shows that more than half are satisfied with the benefits of inhaling from the stick.
This individualised approach has led to a reduction in the use of anxiolytics and has helped to improve the caregiver/adolescent relationship.
