The 2022 International Prize Winner

Emma Tyrer is the 2022 awardee ! She is a complementary therapist and has worked in a clinical setting for over 18 years. For the past 10 years, Emma has worked at Dimbleby Cancer Care which provides services in three London hospitals.  They support patients at all stages of their cancer journey with complementary therapies such as clinical aromatherapy, reflexology, reiki, acupuncture and relaxation and stress management.

The jury was very appreciative of their recent adaptation of services to support patients during the COVID19 closure period.

They have created relaxation webinars, an aromastick service for patients but they have also developed an aromastick service for medical staff!

Emma wins the 2022 René-Maurice Gattefossé award for her outstanding commitment to her patients and for her observationnal study on the value of aromasticks to reduce stress and anxiety for caregivers during the COVID19 period.
